WISE LAB

Description

The Wireless Sensing and Embedded Systems (WISE) lab is a systems research group at Carnegie Mellon University under the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and led by professor Anthony Rowe. The lab focuses on a broad range of topics not only including "classical" computer and system engineering fields such as sensing technology and real-time systems, but also on extended and virtual reality (XR/VR).

I was hired as a graduate research asssistant to work on applying transformer technology to packet loss concealment in distributed systems, with the ultimate aim of developing transformer models that would fully understand and encapsulate entire systems through only observing network traffic. The research is being conducted soley by myself, with my PhD supervisor Tianshu Huang providing invaluable guidance.
