Lunar Zebro is a team mostly comprised of TU Delft students with the mission of luanching low-cost lunar rovers to the moon's surface. I joined their IGLUNA 2021 subteam as a Control and Data Handling Systems (CDHS) engineer. The IGLUNA subteam competed in the 2021 IGLUNA competition hosted by the Swiss Innovation center to test the possibility of employing multiple Zebro rovers as an autonomous swarm.
My tasks included designing and implementing a robust communication infrastructure that facilitated both messaging between agents and ground control, all with fault resilience. Additionally, I was responsible for implementing lower-level systems within ROS and provide their functionalities as an API to the navigation and swarming teams.
